I scour the internet for stamping ideas. Do you do the same? I try to stay away from Pinterest (it is too addicting and I wouldn't get anything else done). Instead, I search other sites for inspiration, some of which are only for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. I apologize that I cannot remember the name of the demonstrator from whom I got the inspiration for my card.
I loved the watercolor technique, and gave it a try to create this card:
This card was so much fun to make, and was surprisingly easy. Here are the products I used to make the card:
Stamp Sets: Garden In Bloom, #139433; Avant Garden (Sale-A-Bration #143272)
Paper: Soft Suede; Watercolor Paper; Whisper White
Ink: Watermelon Wonder; Garden Green; Chocolate Chip
Other: Aqua Painter; Stitched Shapes Thinlits; Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate; 1/4" Natural Trim; Stampin' Dimensionals; Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
The watercolor effect was so simple - after stamping an image use the Aqua Painter to draw the color from the image onto the paper. I think this technique softens everything on the card.
To attach the acetate onto the card I applied Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the middle of the acetate piece, then adhered it to the card. The circle with the sentiment hides where the glue was applied.
I LOVE this technique and will be using it again with other stamped images. What do you think? Please leave me your thoughts in the Comment section below
