There are so many stamp sets in the 2017 Occasions Catalog that offer great versatility. One of them is the Lift Me Up stamp set found on page 10. To make it more appealing is the Up & Away Thinlit Dies (page 10) that coordinate with the stamp set. I used the medium-size hot air balloon plus the small air balloon image. There is a large balloon that can be made with the Thinlit Dies that is beautiful. I will be making another Lift Me Up card with it in the near future.
But wait - there's more! Sale-A-Bration (SAB) is in full swing, and there is a pack of coordinating Designer Series Paper, Carried Away, in the SAB catalog. In case you have forgotten, during Sale-A-Bration you get a FREE item of your choice from the SAB brochure for every $50 you spend (before shipping and tax).
A little more abut Sale-A-Bration: (1) Sign up to be a Demonstrator during SAB. Not only will you get $125 worth of product in your starter kit for only $99, you will also get to choose TWO FREE STAMP SETS - an added value of up to $104. What are you waiting for? (2) If you host a qualifying stamping party with me during SAB you will earn $25 more in Stampin' Rewards - that is more FREE Product. WOW!!
Now on to my card - I decided to make a thank you card with the Lift Me Up Bundle - here is what I came up with.
The idea of using a Thinlit as an embossing technique was shared by another demonstrator (sorry, I don't remember her name). In this case I used the Sunburst Thinlit, found on page 193 in the Annual Catalog. I will be teaching this technique in an upcoming class, so watch for an announcement in a future newsletter.
To make this card I used the following supplies -
Stamp Set: Life Me Up
Paper: Night of Navy; Whisper White
Ink: Night of Navy; Black Stazon; Stampin' Write Markers (Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Watermelon Wonder, Crumb Cake); Rich Razzelberry; Soft Sky
Accessories: Up & Away Thinlit Dies; Sunburst Thinlit; Big Shot; various thicknesses of cardboard & chipboard to make the Big Shot "sandwich"; Clear Wink of Stella (to highlight the clouds)
The look of this card is simple and uncomplicated, just the way I wanted it. Please let me know what you think.
