Take It To Heart card for Margaret

I wanted to make an extra-special Valentine card for my daughter, Margaret.  I chose to use the Take It To Heart stamp set from the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog (#125522 clear mount, #125520 wood mount).

I had so much fun making this card!  I got to play with a new stamp set, and the new Hearts Collection Framelits dies, both from the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog.  There are some incredible new products in the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog - check it out by clicking on the link on the left side of this page.

To make this 5" x 5" card I used the following products:

• Stamp Sets: Take It To Heart, P.S. I Love You (for the sentiment), #125462 clear mount, #125460 wood mount
• Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler
• Ink: Black Stazon, Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Pretty In Pink, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Early Espresso
• Accessories: Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folders, Hearts Collection Framelit Dies, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die, Victoria Crochet Trim, Blender Pen, Sticky Tape, Two-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

I just love the way this card turned out.  I think Margaret will feel very loved when she opens it.

Valentine For My Grandson

My grandson, David, is 17, which in my mind presented a challenge for creating a Valentine card that wasn't all mushy.  I decided to use the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set from the 2012 Sale-A-Bration catalog.  The set is so versatile, with images of a star, a flower, as well as a heart, plus some sentiments I really like.  You can see the stamp set by clicking on the Sale-A-Bration Catalog link on the left side of this page.

To make this card I also used one of the awesome new products that are introduced in the 2012 Occasions Mini  - the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.  There are three different designs; I chose to use the hearts image.  You can view the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog and the new embossing folders by clicking on the Occasions Mini link on the left side of this page.

I didn't have a "grandson" stamp, so I improvised by using the words, "grand" and "son" from the Family Reunion stamp set (#122712 clear mount, #122710 wood mount) from the 2011/2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  I stamped the word "grand" directly onto the card, then stamped the word "son" on a piece of scrap cardstock, cut out the letters, then adhered them to the card using dimensionals.

SPRING IS BLOSSOMING

Beginning April 1st you can purchase a "sneek peek" stamp set and Designer Series Paper that will be in the new 2011/2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  I must tell you -- the paper has many colors in it and is truly gorgeous.  Here is a card that was posted on the demonstrator website as a project idea.  On the card you can see a sample of the paper, plus one of the four "label" stamps in the stamp set.

I have pre-ordered the paper (something I get to do as a demonstrator), and will have it for everyone to see at my April class on April 9th.  My prediction is that this paper will be VERY popular.
